The SUNGLASS plant covers an area of almost 26,000 square metres (with 12,000 m2 of factory and offices). The plant boasts a vast park of production systems and equipment and uses the latest technological processes to produce all kinds of flat and curved railway windshield and window, all engineered in-house using the most advanced software the market has to offer. The location of our production plant in a highly industrialised area also allows us to benefit from a network of excellent suppliers and maintain the highest standards of quality and productivity.
Since 2012, SUNGLASS has invested over 2.5 million Euros in specialist glass production plant and technology. Among our most important investments are the world’s largest machine for chemical tempering, a technology that produces windshields that combine perfect optical quality with high resistance, in all possible shapes.
We have also invested in a spark welding system for carriage window frames that allows us to complete the process of joining light alloy profiles in-house, and in a new production site dedicated to the assembly and testing of carriage windows.
